Information for educational purposes only
The articles, condition pages, answers to questions and other materials on drniftaliyev.az are provided for general information. They do not replace a medical examination, diagnosis, treatment or individual medical advice. Everyone's situation is different: the same symptom can point to different conditions, and only a doctor who has examined you can make the right decision.
In an emergency, call 103 immediately
In the following situations, do not spend time looking for information on this website — call an ambulance straight away:
- signs of stroke: one side of the face drooping, sudden weakness in an arm or leg, slurred or confused speech, sudden loss of vision;
- a seizure lasting longer than 5 minutes, or seizures following one after another;
- a sudden, severe headache unlike any you have had before;
- loss of consciousness;
- thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
With stroke and prolonged seizures, every minute counts. Do not wait for a reply to a message or call to the doctor — call 103 first.
Do not self-medicate
The website may include information about medicines, tests and treatment approaches. This is never a prescription. Do not start a medicine on your own, change the dose or stop treatment prescribed by your doctor. Stopping anti-seizure medication suddenly can be particularly dangerous. Make every treatment decision together with your doctor.
No doctor–patient relationship
Reading the website, looking through articles or visiting our social media pages does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Brief information sent by phone or WhatsApp does not replace an examination either and is used only to arrange an appointment. A doctor–patient relationship begins only at a consultation, following an examination.
