Our aim
The aim of drniftaliyev.az is to provide clear, reliable and understandable information about headache, epilepsy, stroke, peripheral nerve disorders and other neurological problems. Medical information can influence the decisions people make about their health, so we take particular care in preparing our content.
Authorship and responsibility
Articles on the website are written and prepared under the direction of neurologist Uzm. Dr. Elvin Niftaliyev. Details of the doctor's training, experience and professional work are available on the About page. Every article names its author so that readers know who stands behind the information.
Medical review
Before publication, medical content is read and reviewed by the doctor. The review checks the accuracy of facts, the precision of terminology, whether recommendations reflect current clinical practice and whether the text could mislead readers. Medical content that has not been approved by the doctor is not published on the website.
Sources
Where relevant, our content draws on the general recommendations and guidelines of recognised international organisations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the UK National Health Service (NHS), the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and other respected professional bodies. These sources are considered together with the doctor's clinical experience, and the information is explained in plain language for readers in Azerbaijan.
Writing principles
- Text is written in plain, clear language, and necessary medical terms are explained.
- We do not publish unsupported claims, promises of «miracle» cures or alarmist wording.
- Warning signs of emergencies are highlighted separately, with advice to call 103 immediately.
- Articles do not replace an individual examination; readers are always encouraged to see a doctor.
Updates
Medicine changes, so articles are reviewed periodically. Each article shows the date it was last updated. When significant changes are made, the text goes through medical review again and the date is updated.
Independence and advertising
The website carries no advertising, and no content is commissioned by pharmaceutical companies or manufacturers of medical products. Specific medicines may be mentioned for general information only; this is not a recommendation to take them without a prescription.
